Cleansing
Be careful with any piercings if the client has any as they may be new or sensitive.
The clients hair must always be clipped back to ensure that the makeup can be applied properly.
Ensure that you pick up an even number of cotton pads as this will be useful especially for when the
makeup is being removed.
Looking in the mirror remove the makeup using the light from the mirrors.
Also when removing any eyebrow makeup, use a cotton bud and go against the brow so that the
makeup can be removed.
When removing the eye makeup use cotton pad gently against the eye.
Toning
Using cotton pads again ensure that the makeup is off put some of the toner on the pads and rub
gently into the skin.
Be gentle with the skin.
Moisturising
Without the cotton pads get a small amount of moisturiser and rub it into the skin with your hands
gently as the skin is very sensitive.

With this I feel that I was able to work on ensuring my approach with the client was professional and
that everything that I did was carried out properly and hygienically which meant that I was able to get
an insight into what it would be like to be a makeup artist.
However with this method I felt that I struggled to stand behind the client looking into the mirror
instead of looking directly at the clients face which is something I could improve on.
Also with this I struggled getting the makeup off as I wasn't used to cleansing the skin with this
method and will need to practise my technique on this as I struggled to remove the makeup as there
was so much on the clients skin.
