Before starting it is important to ask the client whether they are allergic to anything as you don't want
any products used to have a negative effect on their skin, also used in the face should be scent free to
be extra careful as some products that aren't scent free can be harsh on sensitive skin.Before starting
anything a towel or wrap should be used on the client to protect their clothes.Also it is important that
the client knows you have cleaned your hands as it will make you appear more professional which is
something an aspiring makeup artists should be.
No jewellery should be worn as it could irritated the client and could also get in the way of the
procedure being carried out as well as this hair should be tied away as it may also get in the way of
the procedure being carried out.
Hands should be cleaned before laying any makeup out.
Lay down 2 squares of paper to ensure the makeup isn’t contaminated by anything on the surface.
Ensure that all the brushes used are clean.
